Beauty Ha Thu competes in Miss Earth 2017

The first runner-up of Miss Ocean 2014 officially became Vietnam's representative in the international beauty pageant.

The organization that holds the copyright to send contestants to Miss Earth has just officially announced that Ha Thu will represent Vietnam in this year’s contest. The beauty said that during this time, she will continue to train her body, improve her catwalk skills, complete environmental projects to share with international friends, as well as prepare suitable costumes to participate in the contest.

Besides, Ha Thu is confident that she can communicate in English with international friends during her journey to participate in Miss Earth.

Le Thi Ha Thu is 1.71 m tall with measurements of 85-60-90. She won the 1st runner-up prize at Miss Ocean 2014. In 2015, Ha Thu participated in the Miss Intercontinental contest and was in the top 14. She is currently working as a model, and also trying her hand at singing, participating in the Tinh Bolero 2017 contest.

When asked if she felt pressured by Nam Em's achievement of being in the top 8 of Miss Earth last year, Ha Thu shared: "There is pressure, but it's mainly on myself. Each year the quality of the contestants will be different. The judges have different opinions, of course everything is only relative."

Miss Earth 2017 continues to take place in the Philippines. The final night is scheduled to be held on November 4 with the competition of about 90 contestants from many countries and territories. The official theme of this year's contest is "Heroines Fighting Climate Change".
