Beauty queen Ha Thu competes in Miss Earth 2017.

The first runner-up of the Miss Ocean 2014 pageant has officially become Vietnam's representative in international beauty competitions.

The organization holding the rights to send contestants to Miss Earth has officially announced that Ha Thu will represent Vietnam in this year's competition. The beauty queen said that during this time, she continues to train her physique, hone her catwalk skills, complete environmental projects to share with international friends, and prepare suitable outfits for the competition.

In addition, Ha Thu is confident that she can communicate in English with international friends throughout her participation in Miss Earth.

Le Thi Ha Thu is 1.71 m tall with measurements of 85-60-90. She won first runner-up at Miss Ocean 2014. In 2015, Ha Thu participated in the Miss Intercontinental pageant and made it to the top 14. Currently, she works as a model and is also trying her hand at singing, participating in the Tinh Bolero 2017 competition.

When asked if she felt pressured by Nam Em's top 8 finish at Miss Earth last year, Ha Thu shared: "There is some pressure, but it mainly comes from myself. The quality of contestants changes every year. The judges have different perspectives, and of course, everything is relative."

Miss Earth 2017 continues in the Philippines. The final night is scheduled for November 4th, with approximately 90 contestants from various countries and territories competing. The official theme of this year's competition is "Heroines Fighting Climate Change".
