General Secretary arrives in Phnom Penh, begins state visit to Cambodia

At exactly 8:45 a.m. on July 20, the plane carrying General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation on a state visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia at the invitation of Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni landed at Pochentong International Airport, Phnom Penh.

Welcoming the General Secretary at the airport, on the Vietnamese side were Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Thach Du, Embassy staff and many representatives of the Vietnamese community and businesses in Cambodia.

At the airport to welcome the delegation were Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of the Royal Palace Samdech Kong Som Ol, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Relations with the National Assembly, Senate and Inspectorate Men Som On, a number of officials from the Royal Palace, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cambodian People's Party and representatives of the people.

On the Vietnamese side, there were Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Thach Du, Embassy staff and many representatives of the Vietnamese community and businesses in Cambodia.

Pochentong International Airport is filled with flowers and Vietnamese and Cambodian flags.

Vietnamese community, businesses and people from all walks of life welcome General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to visit Cambodia.
