(Baonghean.vn) - A resident in Quynh Tam commune, Quynh Luu district, while butchering a sow, discovered a "sand pig" weighing more than 1kg.

Accordingly, Mr. Ho Van Hoang in hamlet 8, Quynh Tam commune, butchered the sow his family had raised for more than 10 months, and discovered a strange object. After taking it out, he confirmed it was "sand pig", and weighed it, it weighed more than 1 kg.

Curious about this strange object, many people in the area came to see it; after the information was posted on social networks, many phone calls came to Mr. Hoang asking to buy it.

According to Mr. Hoang, the phone calls are mainly from other provinces, including a person in Thai Binh province who offered 200 million VND to buy this "sand pig", but Mr. Hoang has not yet agreed to sell.

“According to information on the internet, pig sand is very rare and can cure many diseases, so it has a high value. Right now, I am not sure about its true value, but if someone offers a higher price, I will sell it,” said Mr. Hoang.
