The Provincial Political School held its opening ceremony for the 2017-2018 academic year.

(Baonghean.vn) - Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 2017-2018 school year, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Nguyen Xuan Son, requested that...The Provincial Political School continues to strongly innovate its training activities, focusing on in-depth learning and linking theory with practice.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son wished the school's staff and lecturers a successful start to the new academic year; and emphasized that the school's staff and lecturers should always remember President Ho Chi Minh's teachings: "The success or failure of all things depends on whether the cadres are good or bad," and "Cadres are the foundation of all work. Therefore, training cadres is the fundamental task of the Party."

Besides acknowledging the achievements of the Provincial Political School in the past period, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son also expressed his wish for the school to perform well in several tasks such as: continuing to advise the provincial leadership on training and fostering cadres; continuing to build and improve the organizational structure, and developing and enhancing the quality of the staff and lecturers.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also requested that the school continue to strongly innovate its training activities in a way that focuses on depth, linking theory with practice; training and development according to job titles, diversifying types of training; improving the quality of scientific research; paying attention to the work of building Party organizations within the school; innovating leadership and management methods and building unity within the school.

He also expressed his hope that the trainees would seriously cultivate the right mindset, spirit, and attitude towards learning in order to achieve the best results after completing the course.

Over 71 years of construction and development, the school has always received the attention of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, as well as the active cooperation of various departments, agencies, and localities in training and developing cadres. In the 2016-2017 academic year, the Provincial Political School trained 70 classes with 5,343 students.

To further improve the quality of training and professional development for cadres, the Principal of the Provincial Political School, Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa, stated that the school's staff and teachers are determined to complete six tasks in the new academic year 2017-2018, including:

Building a faculty and staff team that is sufficient in quantity and strong in quality; continuously improving the quality of training and professional development for staff, diversifying training types; promoting scientific research; actively advising and proposing to provincial leaders in leading and directing the implementation of the school's political tasks; reforming administration, improving the efficiency of information technology use; building a team of staff, lecturers, and students with a greater sense of discipline and order.

Specifically, the Provincial Political School will prioritize three main tasks for the new academic year: the 6th Excellent Lecturer Competition for provincial-level political schools and ministerial/sector schools in the Northern region held in Nghe An; organizing a seminar commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Russian October Revolution; and participating in the international seminar commemorating the 150th anniversary of the birth of the patriot Phan Boi Chau.

Also at the ceremony, comrades Nguyen Xuan Son and Ho Phuc Hop presented the Commemorative Medal for the cause of training and fostering political theory of the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy to 22 cadres and lecturers of the Provincial Political School.
