Ambush to capture Mong drug trafficker

(Baonghean.vn) - Que Phong District Police, Nghe An, have just successfully broken up Project 917D, arresting a Mong man who was transporting 720 grams of crystal meth and 77.1 grams of heroin.

Previously, at 3:30 p.m. on September 20, after receiving a report from a scout, Que Phong District Police conducted an ambush at the edge of the forest bordering Chau Kim and Nam Giai communes.

At 5 p.m. the same day, due to heavy rain, the suspect was lost, but the officers and soldiers of Que Phong District Police persisted in lying in wait. At exactly 9 p.m., the suspect appeared. When the opportunity came, the task force opened fire to suppress and control the suspect, confiscating a yellow plastic bag and a knife.

At the investigation agency, the subject confessed that his name was Va Tong Cu (born in 1974), residing in Huoi Xai 2 village, Tri Le commune (Que Phong), and was arrested while transporting crystal meth and heroin for sale. The weight that the investigation agency seized was 720 grams of crystal meth and 77.1 grams of heroin.
