Authorities ambushed and apprehended a Hmong man transporting drugs.
(Baonghean.vn) - The police of Que Phong district, Nghe An province, have successfully cracked case 917D, arresting a Mong ethnic minority suspect who was transporting 720g of methamphetamine and 77.1g of heroin.

Earlier, at 3:30 PM on September 20th, acting on intelligence from informants, the Que Phong District Police conducted an ambush in the forest area bordering Chau Kim and Nam Giai communes.
By 5 PM that same day, due to heavy rain, the suspect was lost track of, but the officers and soldiers of the Que Phong District Police continued their stakeout. At exactly 9 PM, the suspect appeared, and when the opportunity arose, the task force opened fire to subdue and apprehend the suspect, seizing a yellow plastic bag and a knife.

At the police station, the suspect identified himself as Va Tong Cu (born in 1974), residing in Huoi Xai 2 village, Tri Le commune (Que Phong district), and confessed that he was transporting methamphetamine and heroin for sale when he was arrested. The amount of methamphetamine and heroin seized by the investigating agency was 720 grams and 77.1 grams.
