Mother brings drugs into rehabilitation center for her child.

Staff at a drug rehabilitation center in Dong Thap province, while checking packages sent by relatives to their son undergoing compulsory drug rehabilitation, discovered several packets of drugs hidden in a bag of dried jackfruit.

On September 17th, the Cao Lanh District Police (Dong Thap province) filed a case and released Huynh Thi Hong Van (42 years old, residing in Ward 3, Sa Dec City) on bail to continue investigating her alleged "illegal possession of narcotics".

According to the police, on the afternoon of September 16th, the Cao Lanh District Police discovered and caught Ms. Van red-handed visiting her son who was undergoing compulsory drug rehabilitation in My Long commune (Cao Lanh district).

At that time, Ms. Van was carrying four bags of dried jackfruit. Upon inspection, one packet and three packages suspected to be drugs (weight unknown) were found inside. The police have filed a report and are continuing their investigation.
