Two escaped death row inmates have been found in Quang Ninh.

After three days of escaping from prison by digging through a wall in Hanoi, the two death row inmates appeared at a karaoke bar in Quang Ninh.

On the evening of September 13th, two criminals escaped from T16 prison (Ministry of Public Security).Le Van Tho (aka Tho "Sut", 37 years old) and Nguyen Van Tinh (28 years old) were found hiding in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh province.

"We spotted these two at a karaoke bar in Ha Long City, but we haven't been able to apprehend them yet," a source said.

The Ha Long City Police have sent out a notice to the public urging them to be vigilant and report any information about the two individuals to the local police immediately. Images of the two criminals have also been distributed to the public.

According to investigators, Tho "Sut" and Tinh shared a solitary confinement cell. On the night of September 10th and the early morning of September 11th, taking advantage of heavy rain, the two broke their shackles, dug through the cell wall, climbed the prison wall, and used a rope to escape.

After leaving T16 prison, Tinh went to a relative's house in Yen Trung commune, Thach That district (Hanoi) and escaped on a motorbike with Tho "Sut". Cameras from several households in the area recorded images of two men whose appearances matched those of the two escaped death row inmates.

According to police records, Tinh is 1.7 meters tall and, when he fled, was wearing a long-sleeved gray-blue shirt and dark purple trousers. Tho has a goatee, a stocky build, and was wearing a long-sleeved gray checkered shirt and blue jeans.

Five years ago, Tho led a gang of accomplices in kidnapping a young girl, demanding 500 million VND in ransom. Three days after committing the crime, Tho was arrested and sentenced by the Son La Provincial People's Court to a total of 27 years in prison for murder and kidnapping.

While serving his sentence at Nam Ha prison (Ministry of Public Security), Tho continued to direct his subordinates to commit a series of crimes, causing injuries to a father and son in Ha Nam province (33-56%); and attempting to detonate a bomb at the home of a married couple in Son La province, but failed...

Last May, Tho was sentenced to death by the People's Court of Ha Nam province for the crimes of murder and illegal drug trafficking. Tho was transferred to T16 prison awaiting execution and is currently in the appeals phase.

Meanwhile, last April, Tinh was sentenced to death by the Hanoi People's Court for illegally trafficking 490 blocks of heroin hidden in industrial gas cylinders.
