Vinh City Police seized 3.1 tons of fake sugar labels.

(Baonghean.vn) - Today, October 3, the Environmental Police Team of Vinh City Police coordinated with Quang Ngai Sugar Joint Stock Company to clarify the origin of the shipment of 3.1 tons of white sugar.

Previously, on October 2, the Environmental Police Team received a report that in Cong Hoa block, Vinh Tan ward, Vinh city, truck with license plate 37C - 228.21 was secretly unloading a large quantity of white sugar.

Authorities quickly arrived at the scene to inspect and discovered 62 sacks of white sugar on the vehicle, weighing a total of 3.1 tons, bearing the label of Quang Ngai Sugar Joint Stock Company.

When asked to present documents proving the origin of the above shipment, Ms. Le Thi Tu (residing in Vinh City) - the owner of the shipment could only present 1 sales invoice of Ms. Le Thi Tuyen (residing in Dong Ha, Quang Tri).

Through inspection of the shipment, the representative of Quang Ngai Sugar Joint Stock Company initially confirmed that this sugar diameter was not a product manufactured by the company.

LAuthorities suspect that this sugar is from Thailand but is packaged in Quang Ngai Sugar Joint Stock Company's packaging to evade taxes and deceive authorities.
