Female terrorist who served time in prison becomes British official
A female terrorist, who served time in prison for her involvement in the July 2005 London Underground attack, has been appointed to a senior position on Southwark Council (London, England).
Mulumebet Girma, 33, joined Southwark Council because colleagues did not know she was involved in one of Britain's most notorious attacks.

The former Ethiopian model rose quickly through the ranks of the Housing Authority, as Southwark Council, London, failed to detect her shady past. She was also featured on the cover of a government magazine promoting its apprenticeship scheme.
Girma has now been fired.
According to The Sun, Girma joined Southwark Council as a trainee customer service assistant in 2013, shortly after being released from prison. Girma did not disclose her criminal history and Southwark Council did not discover that she had played a key role in the infamous London terror attack.
Many people asked the question: "How did Girma get that job without any checks, when just a small operation on Google can get all the information about this woman?".
Southwark Councillor Michael Mitchell said: "This is a truly terrible mistake. Allowing someone with such a troubled past to work with vulnerable customers is very dangerous."
