Breaking up a huge drug ring that only employed the Mong man's brothers
(Baonghean.vn) - The illegal drug trafficking ring led by Lau Ba Cha used Mong ethnic people, especially relatives, and operated very secretly and sophisticatedly.

On October 15, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department (PC47), Nghe An Police, announced that it had successfully broken up a major drug case, arrested two suspects, and seized 20 heroin cakes.

In early July 2017, PC47 discovered a group of Mong people residing in Ban Pha Noi, Muong Tip Commune, Ky Son District, who were involved in drug-related crimes. These people often illegally crossed the border into Laos to buy large quantities of drugs, then returned to Vietnam and brought them to the northern provinces for consumption.
Among them, a group of people led by Lau Ba Cha, residing in Muong Tip, Ky Son emerged. The drug trafficking activities led by Lau Ba Cha had many very sophisticated tricks. Cha used Mong people, especially relatives and brothers in the same clan to participate and carry out criminal activities.

On October 14, receiving information that the subjects would transport drugs on passenger buses along National Highway 7A for sale, Task Force 717M decided to crack the case.
At 10:30 p.m. on October 14, in Dinh Son commune, Anh Son district, PC47 Department coordinated with Traffic Police Team 1-7, Traffic Police Department caught Cha and Vu red-handed on a passenger car with license plate 37B-02142 traveling from Tuong Duong to Lao Cai, carrying 20 heroin bars in their luggage, so they issued an emergency arrest warrant.

The case is currently under further investigation.
Thus, in just the first 15 days of October, PC47 Department presided over and coordinated with other units to successfully break up two major drug cases, seizing 40 heroin cakes, 1 kg of crystal meth and 12,000 synthetic drug pills.
