Cairo - the world's most dangerous city for women.

The risk of sexual violence against women in Cairo, Egypt, is very high, according to assessments by international experts.

This is the first survey by international experts on the risks and opportunities for women living in megacities (cities with more than 10 million inhabitants).

The above results are based on a survey conducted in 19 megacities regarding the extent to which women are protected from sexual violence and outdated customs.and access to healthcare, finance, and education. Accordingly, the most dangerous places for women are Cairo, followed by Karachi (Pakistan), Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo), and New Delhi (India). London (England) ranks first in terms of friendliness towards women, followed by Tokyo (Japan) and Paris (France).

Women's rights activists in Cairo say that centuries-old customs (including many discriminatory practices) have made Cairo a difficult city for women. Egyptian women face numerous difficulties in all aspects of life, from small things like walking on the street to the risk of harassment.

Tokyo (Japan) is the safest city in terms of violence and sexual harassment, although some feminist activists argue that sexual violence remains a hidden problem. London tops the list as the best city for women thanks to its free national healthcare and leading economic opportunities.
