(Baonghean.vn) - Unlike many of his peers who hope to find an easy job in the city after graduation, Ho Hoang Anh, from Son Nam hamlet, Nghia Son commune (Nghia Dan district), decided to return to his hometown to raise chickens.

In 2014, with a good grade in Environmental Management from the University of Natural Resources and Environment, and possessing a diligent and hardworking nature, Ho Hoang Anh received job offers from several companies, in line with her field of study. However, thinking that the land in her hometown was vast and that she could apply her knowledge to livestock farming, she wouldn't have to worry about hunger or hardship, she decided against it.

Without hesitation, Anh went home to seek his family's opinion. With his parents' support, he researched various poultry farming models and read more materials related to chicken farming. Based on that, he decided to return to his hometown to plan the farm, buy chicks, and raise them on an area of 2000 square meters.2In the first batch, after 4 months of raising and selling over 300 broiler chickens, Anh earned a profit of over 20 million VND.

Despite the small initial profit, it was a great source of encouragement for Anh, motivating him to reinvest. Gradually, the model has grown to over 700 chickens per batch, with 3 batches per year, generating an income of over 150 million VND per year, plus 50-60 million VND per year from egg sales.

In a conversation with us, Mr. Anh stated that his decision not to pursue a civil service career after graduating with a degree in environmental science was not a waste, because his environmental studies provided him with the knowledge to apply in livestock farming, including designing barns and feed.

Therefore, his chickens are always healthy and thrive, and it is precisely because of the application of clean farming models that his livestock products are favored by consumers. Especially now, with the Ho Chi Minh Trail experiencing daily traffic, not to mention the sunflower season which is an opportunity for tourists to come and enjoy the beautiful scenery as well as the clean specialties of the local people.

Thanks to the success of the model, many young people in the area have now come to learn from and follow suit, and Anh is happy to share her experience. Regarding future plans, Anh said she will expand the scale of her farm, increasing the total flock to 1,300 broiler chickens and 300 laying hens.
