Thanh Hoa Department of Health discovered that Olecin-500 film-coated tablets (Levofloxacin 500mg), registration number: VN- 11490-10, production batch: TE-5339, expiry date: November 5, 2018 and production batch: TE-5401, expiry date: November 6, 2018, manufactured by Gracure Pharmaceutical Ltd (India) and imported by Central Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company 3, did not meet quality standards for qualitative indicators by polar rotation angle and average tablet weight.

Olecin-500 film-coated tablets are one of two types of drugs requested to be recalled in Thanh Hoa province.

In addition, Denizen enteric-coated tablets (Serratiopeptidase 10mg), registration number: VD-10027-10, production batch: 0560215, production date: July 30, 2015, expiry date: July 30, 2018, manufactured by Minh Hai Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company. Through inspection, it was shown that the above drug did not meet the quality standards in terms of quantitative indicators.

Thanh Hoa Department of Health has suspended circulation and announced a recall of batches of Olecin-500 film-coated tablets and Denizen enteric-coated tablets (Serratiopeptidase 10mg).

At the same time, request drug trading and using establishments in Thanh Hoa province to urgently recall the above-mentioned suspended drug batches (if any) and return them to the suppliers.

To ensure the implementation of relevant units, Thanh Hoa Department of Health has also requested the Department of Drug Administration, functional departments and offices of the Department of Health, Health Departments of districts, towns and cities in the province to be responsible for inspecting and supervising the implementation of this notice; handling violating units and individuals according to current regulations.
