Miss Universe Vietnam Finals Moved to 2018

The organizers proactively postponed the schedule while waiting for the inspection results on organizing the semi-finals despite the storm in Khanh Hoa.

The final night of Miss Universe Vietnam is scheduled to take place on January 6, 2018, postponed.about a month later than originally planned (2/12).The contestants are currently being given three weeks to rest at home by the organizers, before gathering for a new schedule in Nha Trang at the end of December.

The organizers explained that the postponement was to ensure better preparation.

Previously, the semi-final night of the Miss Universe Vietnam contest took place on the evening of November 4, right after storm No. 12 swept through Khanh Hoa province.The decision to hold the competition night met with public opposition.On November 7, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism decided to postpone the contest until the aftermath of Typhoon Damrey was resolved. The organizing committee also had to submit a report on holding the semi-final night without the consent of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee.

During the postponement of the contest, contestants still participated in charity activities and visited localities directly affected by storms and floods in Khanh Hoa and Phu Yen. The reality TV show I Am Miss Universe Vietnam was still broadcast weekly as scheduled.
