Asia's tallest ancient wooden tower burned down
This afternoon (December 10), Linh Cung tower in Cuu Long, Mien Truc, Sichuan, China was burned down by fire.

According to the People's Daily, the incident occurred at around 1 p.m. The fire started in the main hall and then spread to the tower.

Linh Cung is the tallest wooden tower in Asia, built during the Ming Dynasty more than 300 years ago. The tower has 16 floors and a unique design.

The tower was severely damaged in the historic earthquake eight years ago and is still undergoing repairs. A fire on the afternoon of December 10th destroyed the ancient tower.

There are no reports of casualties yet. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
