Commemorative gathering to celebrate the founding day of the Vietnam People's Army.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 21st, the Military Command and the Population Center of Hung Nguyen district jointly organized an exchange to commemorate the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - 2017), the 28th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - 2017), and the 56th anniversary of Vietnam's Population Day (December 26, 1961 - 2017).

To commemorate the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 56th anniversary of Vietnam's Population Day, the participating units also presented many cultural performances and organized numerous lively and interesting group games.

During the exchange session, the leaders of the Population and Family Planning Center of Hung Nguyen district disseminated Resolution 21-NQ/TW of the 12th Party Congress on population work in the new situation. This is a content of great significance at the present time, aiming to enhance the responsibility of various sectors, agencies, and organizations towards population work.

In Hung Nguyen district, despite being one of the first localities in the province to achieve replacement fertility levels, the rate of having a third child or more remains high, and the gender imbalance at birth is at an alarming level with a ratio of 124 boys per 100 girls.

Through this, the sector hopes that the military forces in the area will join hands in disseminating information about population work so that the locality can achieve the goals and targets regarding population quality as stated in Resolution 21.

This activity aims to strengthen solidarity between the two units. In addition, it provides an opportunity for both units to exchange ideas, share experiences, and propose practical solutions to jointly fulfill the common political tasks assigned by the district and the province.
