Nearly 60 tons of oranges were sold at the Vinh - Nghe An Orange Fair 2017.

(Baonghean.vn) - After three days of organizing the Vinh - Nghe An Orange Fair 2017, the stalls displaying orange products have sold nearly 60 tons of oranges.

According to the Nghe An Department of Science and Technology, after three days of organization, the Vinh Orange Fair - Nghe An 2017 was successfully held and exceeded the set targets.

The fair featured 46 booths from the districts of Quy Hop, Nghia Dan, Yen Thanh, Nghi Loc, Thanh Chuong, Tan Ky, Anh Son, Con Cuong, and Vinh City; including 36 booths from more than 30 organizations, associations, farms, and households producing oranges, and 10 booths from suppliers of input equipment for orange cultivation.

Statistics show that during the three days of the fair, approximately 15,000 people from within and outside the province visited and shopped. Nearly 60 tons of various types of oranges were sold at the fair alone, generating revenue of about 2.4 billion VND.

Some local stalls had high sales figures, such as Yen Thanh oranges selling nearly 5 tons, and Con Cuong oranges selling over 3 tons...

In addition, the fair also featured many products made from oranges: orange peel jam, orange soap, orange wine, etc. Supplies for growing and caring for orange trees also sold quite well.

The fair organizers awarded the first prize for booth decoration to Phuong Thao High-Tech Agriculture Co., Ltd.; and the first prize for the presentation competition went to Xuan Thanh Agriculture Co., Ltd.
