The above-mentioned dirt road connects National Highway 16, the intersection of Na Puc village, Chau Thon commune (Que Phong) to 4 Mong villages of Tri Le border commune. These are: Muong Long, Huoi Xai 1, Huoi Xai 2, Nam Tot. In addition to the people of the above-mentioned villages, the road also serves the travel of teachers at Tri Le 4 Primary School, Tri Le Kindergarten and border soldiers of Tri Le Border Post.

The road becomes a "barrier" that challenges anyone. On sunny days, traveling on this road is already difficult because the road is small, steep, and has many curves. And everything becomes many times more terrible when it rains. At this time, the dirt road turns into a swamp, thick with red mud. To "complete" the 19km length of the road, people have to spend hours. Photo: Hung Cuong. |

Close-up of a tire wrapped in chains while traveling on the road. To travel on this road, people and teachers must use motorcycle chains wrapped around the tire to increase friction, help the vehicle grip the road, and prevent slipping. Photo: Hung Cuong |

However, during prolonged rains, this method is not very effective. Many points on the road are completely covered with mud, making it difficult to travel. The mud "helps" the bike stand firmly without a kickstand. Photo: Hung Cuong |

When people and teachers need to go to the center or to the village in the rain, they do not dare to go alone. They often go in groups to support each other. When traveling, one thing everyone must bring is bamboo sticks to remove and pry mud stuck to tires and under the engine. Photo: Hung Cuong |

This car had to have its chain shortened to increase its ability to overcome mud. Photo: Hung Cuong |

A moment of rest for the people after passing through the arduous road. Mr. Thao Thong Ly - Secretary of the Party Cell of Muong Long village said: "I woke up very early, prepared everything to go to the commune for the meeting, but the road was slippery, the car moved slowly, had to slow down...". It is true that when passing through this route, everyone is forced to "live slowly". Photo: Hung Cuong |
