Hunting for apartment security guard who beat 68 year old man to hospital
Images from the video clip show that despite being stopped, the security guard in the blue shirt still rushed in and brutally beat the 68-year-old man.
On the afternoon of January 5, Colonel Le Anh Tuan, head of Thu Duc District Police, Ho Chi Minh City, said he had directed an investigation into the assault of an elderly person by a security guard at an apartment building in the district.
The victim was identified as Mr. Phan Van Quang, 68 years old, residing in Quang Tri province.
According to initial information, Mr. Quang and his wife came to Ho Chi Minh City more than 2 years ago and are currently residing in Binh Thanh district.
Mr. Quang has a son who is married and lives in an apartment in SaiGon Metro Park apartment building (Truong Tho ward, Thu Duc district).

Mr. Quang and his wife often ride their motorbike down to the apartment to visit their son. Every time he arrives at the apartment, Mr. Quang leaves his motorbike in the underground parking lot, then goes up to the apartment to visit his son. When he is done, he goes down to the basement to get his motorbike and go home.
On January 2, Mr. Quang and his wife went to the Saigon Metro Park apartment building to visit their son. Mr. Quang parked his motorbike in the underground parking lot as usual and then went up to the apartment to visit his son.
At 8:30 p.m. on January 2, Mr. Quang and his wife went down to the basement to get their motorbike but could not find it. Later, Mr. Quang and his wife discovered that their motorbike had been moved to another area.
Mr. Quang intended to ride his motorbike home, butSecurity guard Nguyen Manh Quan informed Mr. Quang that he parked illegally and asked him to pay a fine of 50,000 VND. Mr. Quang did not agree and said that if he had to pay the fine, the security guard should have a record of the fine payment.
The two sides exchanged words, then security guard Quan grabbed the motorbike keys but Mr. Quang snatched them back. Security guard Quan pushed the motorbike onto Mr. Quang and then rushed in to beat and kick Mr. Quang in the face and body.
Seeing Mr. Quang lying down, his face bleeding profusely, everyone took him to the hospital for emergency care.
According to Colonel Le Anh Tuan, after the incident, the ward police were present to record and clarify the matter. However, at that time, Mr. Quang was in the emergency room so the police had not yet taken his statement.
Security guard Nguyen Manh Quan fled after assaulting Mr. Quang. Currently, Thu Duc District police are pursuing Quan and waiting for the results of the injury assessment of Mr. Quang to handle him according to the law.
