Coach Nguyen Thanh Vinh's son becomes deputy coach of Saigon Club

In preparation for the 2018 season, Saigon FC has decided to strengthen its coaching staff. Specifically, Coach Nguyen Thanh Cong, who has many years of experience in youth training, has been appointed as assistant to Coach Duc Thang at the Southern team.

Although he has never worked in the V.League, Coach Nguyen Thanh Cong is not a strange name in the coaching world in Vietnam. The young coach from Nghe An is known for many years of leading and achieving success with the youth teams of SLNA, Hanoi, Viettel, and SHB.DN.

The son of veteran coach Nguyen Thanh Vinh once led U17 SLNA with players Phi Son, Hoang Thinh, Khac Ngoc, Ngoc Hai... to win the National U17 Championship, Football Newspaper Cup in 2008. In 2015, coach Nguyen Thanh Cong continued to lead U17 Viettel to win the runner-up position in this tournament.

Despite his young age, the Nghe An coach is highly regarded for his expertise and willingness to learn. Coach Thanh Cong has just completed a professional coaching course organized by AFC, along with famous senior colleagues such as Huynh Duc, Huu Thang, Hoang Van Phuc, Phan Thanh Hung, Duc Thang...

With the presence of the young coach from Nghe An in the coaching staff, Coach Duc Thang has another effective assistant to help him achieve important goals in the 2018 season.

In addition to introducing the new “deputy general”, in the next few days, Saigon FC will also officially introduce the new President of the team, replacing his predecessor, Nguyen Giang Dong, who has just withdrawn. Preparing for the 2018 season, Duc Thang and his team have gathered again since the beginning of January. Saigon FC has not had many changes in terms of personnel, as the old framework continues to be maintained.
