Ho Chi Minh City disciplines a series of officials and party members

Many officials and party members in Ho Chi Minh City were disciplined for violations during their work.

On the afternoon of January 10, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held a conference to review the Party inspection, supervision and discipline work in 2017 and the key directions and tasks for 2018.

According to the report of the City Party Committee's Inspection Commission, in 2017, Party committees at all levels inspected 2,566 Party organizations and 2,605 Party members, and supervised 1,975 Party organizations and 2,270 Party members.

Through inspection, the City Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee disciplined 3 Party organizations by reprimand, including: Standing Committee of Tan Phu District Party Committee for the 2010-2015 term, Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs for the 2010-2015 term, Standing Committee of the Central Industrial Enterprises Bloc in Ho Chi Minh City for the 2010-2015 term.

In addition, 7 party members were disciplined, of which 3 were removed from all positions in the Party. They are Ms. Nguyen Thi Tim, Standing Deputy Secretary, Head of the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of the Central Industrial Enterprises Bloc in Ho Chi Minh City for the 2015-2020 term; Mr. Huynh Tan Dung, former member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs for the 2010-2015 term and a party member who was the Party Cell Secretary, Head of the Urban Management Department of District 7 for the 2012-2017 term.

In addition, two people were disciplined with reprimands: Mr. Huynh Van Hanh, former Secretary of Tan Phu District for the 2010-2015 term, and Mr. Vo Ngoc Quoc Thuan, Secretary of Binh Tan District.

Two party members were disciplined with warnings: Mr. Tran Trung Dung, Deputy Head of the City Party Committee's Organization Board, former Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, and Mr. Le Trong Hieu, Deputy Head of the City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Board, former Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of District 7.

In addition, Party committees at all levels and Party cells disciplined 447 people, of which 312 were reprimanded, 105 were warned, 18 were dismissed from office, and 12 were expelled.

The main violations are improper implementation of working regulations, regulations on decentralization of cadre management, appointment of cadres, handling of denunciations, and failure to strictly comply with resolutions, directives, and regulations of the Party.

In addition, Party organizations and individuals also commit violations when they lack responsibility in performing assigned tasks; violate qualities, ethics, and lifestyle; and degrade political ideology./.
