Authorities busted a ring specializing in forging motorcycle registration papers.

The vehicles assembled were primarily large-displacement, two-stroke motorcycles under the Suzuki Sport and Suzuki Satria brands. After complete assembly, the perpetrators used fake license plates and registration papers to circulate and sell the vehicles to numerous customers.

On January 13th, representatives from the Economic Police Department of Phu Yen Provincial Police confirmed that they have initiated criminal proceedings and temporarily detained three individuals for the crime of forging seals and documents of agencies and organizations.

The arrested individuals include: Le Khac Thong (28 years old, residing in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City); Thieu Minh Hoang (23 years old, residing in Ea Ly commune, Song Hinh district, Phu Yen province); and Luong Cong Hi (23 years old, residing in Ward 9, Tuy Hoa city, Phu Yen province).

The police force of Phu Yen province read out the decision to initiate criminal proceedings, indict the suspects, and issue an order for the temporary detention of all three individuals.

Previously, through investigative measures, the Phu Yen Provincial Police discovered a motorcycle repair shop named "Hoang Tay Ga," owned by Thieu Minh Hoang, that specialized in purchasing parts of unknown origin from Ho Chi Minh City and illegally assembling them itself.

Many counterfeit documents are made with great sophistication.

The Director of the Phu Yen Provincial Police Department has established special case number 917T to investigate and gather evidence against Thieu Minh Hoang and other individuals for the illegal assembly of motorcycles; using fake registration certificates and license plates to circulate and sell for illicit profit.

The Phu Yen Provincial Police are currently expanding their investigation into the case.

Police in Phu Yen province have seized 31 motorcycles without legal documents; 26 fake vehicle registration certificates; 40 fake license plates, along with many spare parts and tools for assembling vehicles.

The case is still under further investigation.
