Addressing the issue of "old trees dying, but new shoots not yet sprouting"
(Baonghean.vn) - Hamlet 13 (Tan Huong commune, Tan Ky district) is a unique hamlet with 97 households and 417 inhabitants, nearly 80% of whom are Catholic. Before 2015, the Party branch had only 3 members, one of whom was over 80 years old, making it difficult to organize activities.
For a long time, the Party cell of Hamlet 13 failed to recruit new members, affecting its ability to carry out its tasks. Faced with this situation, the Tan Huong Commune Party Committee assigned Party cell leader Pham Ngoc Hai, Deputy Head of the Party Committee's Inspection Committee, to serve as the Party cell secretary. This was done to strengthen the Party cell of Hamlet 13, enhance the fighting capacity of the Party organization, revive mass movements, and foster unity among the people.

Clearly identifying the important task that required decisive action, Party Secretary Pham Ngoc Hai and the Party branch discussed and agreed on leadership and guidance. "The essential quality of each Party committee member is dedication, exemplary conduct, and especially 'matching words with actions,' ensuring consistency in action," shared Party Secretary Pham Ngoc Hai.
The Party branch proactively created sources of information, persistently campaigned, persuaded, and created favorable conditions, gradually raising the political awareness and ideological aspirations of outstanding individuals among the masses.
At the same time, the leadership and guidance of youth union branches, women's associations, and farmers' associations launched campaigns and patriotic emulation movements to attract a large number of members to participate.
From there, not only are the strengths of the locality being promoted, but the Party branch is also helping to cultivate the masses by assigning tasks and challenges appropriately, so that they have the environment and conditions to train and cultivate themselves. Party members assigned to monitor the masses are all comrades with experience, responsibility, and exemplary pioneers in their work, ethics, and lifestyle.
Thanks to their efforts, responsibility, and dedication, the Party cell of Hamlet 13 has nurtured and admitted 4 new Party members in the past two years. Currently, 3 more individuals are completing their Party membership application files.
In the coming period, the Party branch will continue to build the grassroots political system with the motto "comprehensively strong, sustainably effective," focusing on the work of developing new Party members and supplementing young human resources to overcome the situation of "old trees, no new shoots."Besides its political duties, to help people develop their economy and increase their income right in their hometown, the Party cell of Hamlet 13, along with the hamlet's leadership committee, mobilized farmers to change the crop structure, invest in intensive farming, and increase productivity.
In addition, the village also organizes training courses and guides residents on livestock farming and crop cultivation techniques, providing high-quality grass and plant seeds. As a result, to date, there are 57 economic models generating incomes ranging from 100 to 500 million VND per year.
