(Baonghean.vn) - Residents of Hamlet 12, Thanh Tien Commune (Thanh Chuong District) say they have witnessed illegal sand mining along the Lam River for nearly a decade, but the authorities have yet to take decisive action.

(Baonghean.vn) - Despite being shut down by authorities, the sand stockpiling site in Thanh Tien commune, Thanh Chuong district, continues to operate extensively at night. In many other areas along the Lam River, illegal sand mining continues every evening.

Faced with rampant illegal sand mining causing numerous problems for people's lives, and with authorities failing to address the issue effectively, residents of Thanh Tien commune have resorted to building bamboo fences to prevent sand-dredging boats from docking near their homes. However, this is only a temporary solution.
