Nghe An Tax Department receives the Government's Excellent Emulation Flag.
(Baonghean.vn) - In 2017, the Nghe An Tax Department achieved many outstanding results and received the Government's emulation flag. This is a great motivation for the unit to strive to complete its tasks in 2018.
On the afternoon of January 29th, the Nghe An Provincial Tax Department held a conference to summarize the 2017 budget revenue collection work and discuss solutions for implementing tasks in 2018. Attending the conference were Mr. Phi Van Tuan - Deputy Director General of the General Department of Taxation, leaders of various sectors, and leaders of departments, divisions, and sub-departments.
In 2017, the Nghe An Tax Department implemented a comprehensive set of solutions to increase revenue and combat budget revenue losses, coupled with administrative procedure reforms to facilitate citizens and businesses. In addition, it coordinated with localities and relevant sectors to promptly direct budget revenue collection. As a result, the Nghe An Tax Department successfully completed its tasks. Domestic revenue for the year 2017 was estimated at 11,090 billion VND, equivalent to 115% of the statutory budget estimate, 104% of the People's Council budget estimate, and 112% compared to the same period last year.
In particular, many revenue items exceeded the projected targets, such as: 10 out of 15 revenue items exceeded the projected targets (an increase of VND 1,304 billion): Revenue from land use fees reached VND 2,654 billion, equivalent to 265% of the statutory budget, an increase of 29% compared to the same period last year. Environmental protection tax revenue reached VND 986 billion, an increase of 29% compared to the same period last year. Personal income tax revenue reached VND 428 billion, equivalent to 126% of the budget and an increase of 27% compared to the same period last year.

In 2017, the Nghe An Tax Department focused on tax inspection and auditing, and decisively directed the management and enforcement of tax debt. It implemented modernization efforts including online tax declaration, electronic tax payment, and a centralized tax management system (TMS); tax payment through commercial banks, and information connectivity among the four sectors: Tax, Customs, Treasury, and Finance.

The Nghe An Tax Department has also consistently been at the forefront of administrative reforms, online tax declaration, and electronic tax payment, receiving high praise from the General Department of Taxation.

Proactively review and assess to advise and propose to the Provincial People's Committee solutions regarding mechanisms, policies, and administrative procedure reforms to encourage and attract investment, develop production and business, promote economic growth, and generate revenue for the State budget.
Focus on disseminating information and providing support to taxpayers, improving the quality of dialogue conferences with taxpayers, and promptly resolving difficulties and obstacles faced by taxpayers.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Phi Van Tuan, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Taxation, highly appreciated the achievements of the Nghe An Tax Department, especially in budget revenue collection and administrative reform. He expressed his hope that, despite the difficulties in 2018, the Nghe An Tax Department would continue to closely adhere to the targets set by the General Department of Taxation and the Provincial People's Council, decisively directing budget revenue collection from the very first days and months of 2018. He also hoped that lessons learned in each management area would lead to more innovative tax management initiatives to serve both local authorities and other localities. He hoped that the Nghe An Tax Department would continue to build on its achievements to reduce tax arrears, strengthen efforts to combat tax evasion, and exploit additional revenue sources for the state budget.

Comrade Phi Van Tuan also suggested that the Tax Department work with the Provincial People's Committee to develop a plan for budget revenue collection for the current period.
At the conference, Comrade Phi Van Tuan presented the Government's Excellent Emulation Flag to the Nghe An Tax Department, and awarded 5 Labor Orders (including 4 Second-Class Orders and 1 Third-Class Order). With outstanding achievements, 125 collectives and 1,060 individuals were awarded the title of Advanced Worker, and 138 individuals received the title of Emulation Soldier at the grassroots level.

(Baonghean.vn) – On the afternoon of October 20th, the Nghe An Tax Department held a ceremony to announce Decision No. 1699 of the General Department of Taxation regarding Mr. Trinh Thanh Hai, born in 1974, Deputy Director of the Nghe An Tax Department, being appointed Director of the Nghe An Tax Department from October 6th, 2017.
