Nghe An Tax Department received the Government's Excellent Emulation Flag

On the afternoon of January 29, Nghe An Tax Department held a conference to summarize the 2017 budget collection work and discuss solutions to implement tasks in 2018. Attending the conference were comrade Phi Van Tuan - Deputy General Director of the General Department of Taxation, leaders of sectors and leaders of departments, offices and branches.

In 2017, Nghe An Tax Department synchronously implemented many solutions to increase revenue, prevent budget loss, associated with administrative procedure reform, creating favorable conditions for people and businesses, in addition to coordinating with localities and sectors to promptly direct budget collection work. Thanks to that, Nghe An Tax Department successfully completed its tasks. The domestic revenue in 2017 is estimated at 11,090 billion VND, equal to 115% of the ordinance estimate, 104% of the People's Council estimate and 112% compared to the same period.

In which, many revenue items exceeded the estimate such as: 10/15 revenue items exceeded the estimate (increased revenue by 1,304 billion VND): Revenue from land use fees reached 2,654 billion VND, equal to 265% of the ordinance estimate, up 29% over the same period. Environmental protection tax revenue reached 986 billion VND, up 29% over the same period. Personal income tax revenue reached 428 billion VND, equal to 126% of the estimate and up 27% over the same period.

In 2017, Nghe An Tax Department focused on tax inspection and examination, directed debt management and tax debt enforcement. Implemented modernization: Tax declaration via the Internet, electronic tax payment, centralized tax management system (TMS); Tax payment via commercial banks, connecting information of 4 sectors: Tax - Customs - Treasury - Finance.

Nghe An Tax Department is also always a pioneer in administrative reform, online tax declaration, and electronic tax payment, which is highly appreciated by the General Department of Taxation.

Proactively review and evaluate to advise and propose to the Provincial People's Committee solutions on mechanisms, policies, and administrative procedure reforms to encourage and attract investment, develop production and business, promote economic growth, and create revenue for the State budget.

Focus on propaganda and support for taxpayers, improve the quality of organizing dialogue conferences with taxpayers, promptly resolve problems and difficulties for taxpayers.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Phi Van Tuan - Deputy General Director of the General Department of Taxation highly appreciated the achievements of Nghe An Tax Department, especially in the results of budget collection and administrative reform. He hoped that, despite the difficulties in 2018, Nghe An Tax Department would continue to closely follow the targets assigned by the General Department of Taxation and the Provincial People's Council to resolutely direct the budget collection work right from the first days and months of 2018. Learn from experience in each management field to have more initiatives in tax management to serve the grassroots and other localities. He hoped that Nghe An Tax Department would continue to promote the achievements to limit tax arrears, strengthen the fight against tax losses, and exploit additional revenue sources for the State budget.

Comrade Phi Van Tuan also proposed that the Tax Department work with the Provincial People's Committee to have a project on budget collection for the current period.

At the conference, Comrade Phi Van Tuan awarded the Government's Excellent Emulation Flag to Nghe An Tax Department, and awarded 5 Labor Medals (including 4 Second Class Medals and 1 Third Class Medal). With outstanding achievements, 125 collectives and 1,060 individuals achieved the title of Advanced Laborer, and 138 individuals achieved the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level./.
