Nghe An changes location to honor U23 players

(Baonghean.vn) - The honoring location will be moved to Ho Chi Minh Square instead of Nghe An Provincial Labor Culture House.

On the afternoon of January 30, the Organizing Committee of the program honoring the U23 Vietnam player from Nghe An decided to move the location from the Nghe An Provincial Labor Culture House to Ho Chi Minh Square to best serve the large number of fans.

According to the schedule, at 7pm, after welcoming and presenting flowers to the players at Vinh airport, the fan club and fans will organize a parade for the players along Lenin Avenue and Truong Thi Street.

Then, at 8pm, the ceremony to honor the players will be held at Ho Chi Minh Square.

In the recently successful U23 Vietnam team, there were 4 players from Nghe An, including 2 athletes from Song Lam Nghe An Club: Midfielder Phan Van Duc (No. 14), Midfielder Pham Xuan Manh (No. 2), from Yen Thanh; Striker Nguyen Cong Phuong, No. 10 (Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club), from Do Luong; Goalkeeper Nguyen Van Hoang (Sai ​​Gon Club), from Tan Ky.

The three players Cong Phuong, Van Duc, and Xuan Manh were all discovered at the Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth and Children's Football Tournament. All three were excellent players of the tournament, helping Do Luong and Yen Thanh win the championship and runner-up in the 2005-2006 and 2007-2008 seasons, respectively.

On this occasion, Nghe An Newspaper will also reward 3 players who grew up from the Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth - Children Football Tournament.
