(Baonghean.vn) - Throughout the year, fishermen in Quynh Luu have had abundant catches of scad fish, so the processing and drying of scad fish in the area has become much busier, especially towards the end of the year.

| According to Mr. Thanh, his facility purchases approximately 1,300-1,500 tons of fresh scad fish annually. After processing and drying, the remaining yield is about 500-700 tons. The dried scad fish is exported to China at a price of 34,000 VND/kg. "Scad fish is processed most frequently in March and from July to December. | Quynh Luu district currently has 5 facilities processing and drying scad fish. In 2017, the total fresh scad fish catch was over 4,000 tons, of which about 2,000 tons were processed and exported to China, Malaysia, etc., generating tens of billions of VND in revenue. During Tet (Lunar New Year), due to the large volume of orders, many dried scad fish processing facilities mobilize hundreds of local workers to work continuously; the average worker's salary is 4-5 million VND/month.
