Mr. Thanh said that his facility purchases about 1,300 - 1,500 tons of fresh anchovies each year. After preliminary processing and drying, the remaining output is about 500 - 700 tons. Dried anchovies are exported to China at a price of 34,000 VND/kg. "Anchovies are processed the most in March and from July to December. Quynh Luu district currently has 5 facilities for processing and drying anchovies. In 2017, the total output of fresh anchovies exploited was more than 4,000 tons, of which more than 2,000 tons were processed and exported to the Chinese and Malaysian markets, with a revenue of tens of billions of VND. During Tet, due to the large volume of goods, many dried anchovies processing facilities mobilized hundreds of local workers to work continuously; the average salary of workers was from 4 to 5 million VND/month.
