Flag-raising ceremony of two Gepard 3.9 missile frigates Quang Trung and Tran Hung Dao

On the morning of February 6, at Cam Ranh Military Port (Khanh Hoa), Naval Region 4 solemnly held a flag-raising ceremony for two Gepard 3.9 missile frigates, codenamed 015 - Tran Hung Dao and 016 - Quang Trung.

Attending the flag-raising ceremony were Rear Admiral Hoang Hong Ha, Deputy Commander of the Vietnam Navy. Also attending were representatives from localities, the military, military services, Naval Region 4, maintenance experts, and officers and soldiers of Brigade 162.

Rear Admiral Pham Van Hoanh, Commander of Naval Region 4, presided over the ceremony.

At the ceremony, the commander and political commissar of Region 4 directly presented the national flag and the Vietnam Navy flag to the officers and soldiers of the two ships, officially putting the two ships 015 and 016 into the 162nd Brigade for training and combat readiness.

Assigning tasks to the two ship crews, Rear Admiral Pham Van Hoanh emphasized: The reception and official commissioning of the two Gepard 3.9 missile frigates with the designations 015 - Tran Hung Dao, 016 - Quang Trung into the 162nd Brigade is of great significance, marking the development of the Navy in general, and Naval Region 4 in particular, in building a regular, modern Navy.
The Commander of Naval Region 4 requested: Officers and soldiers of ships 015 and 016 must constantly uphold their responsibilities, overcome difficulties, be proactive in studying, researching, and mastering the features and tactics of the ships to quickly master the equipment, use it effectively, and ensure absolute safety.
