Putin announces 'invincible' missile, penetrating all shields
Russian President claims Moscow's new weapons can neutralize any NATO defense system.

In his state-of-the-nation address today, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that his country has developed a new nuclear cruise missile with unlimited range and can evade any missile defense system..He asserted that this cruise missile has the ability to fly low and possesses a secret flight trajectory.CNNreport
According to the Kremlin chief, Russia is also developing another "invincible" missile, which can carry a hypersonic warhead. The missile is capable of flying like a meteor at speeds many times faster than the speed of sound. "This missile is truly unstoppable. Its speed will reach hypersonic levels," Mr. Putin emphasized.

In addition, Moscow is developing many other new weapons, including an underwater drone with high endurance and stealth capabilities. The device is also equipped with a nuclear warhead, to deal with enemy aircraft carrier groups as well as attack coastal defense systems.
However, President Putin said that all moves to strengthen Russia's military power were for defensive purposes and within the framework of international agreements. "We have never intended to attack anyone. Russia will only respond if attacked. Russia remains interested in building normal relations with the US and the EU," he concluded.
The annual State of the Union address provides an overview of the current situation in Russia and outlines the main directions of domestic and foreign policy for the coming years. The first State of the Union address was delivered by former President Boris Yeltsin in February 1994.
