US Navy Secretary Richard Spenser said on March 7 that Washington's aircraft carriers remain relevant despite Russia's successful development of revolutionary hypersonic missiles, stressing that the US Navy has taken measures to prevent this type of weapon, according toSputnik

"We believe that aircraft carriers will provide a decisive capability in high-tech conflicts," Mr. Spenser affirmed in a hearing before the US House of Representatives.
