1,102 out of 1,196 households have signed documents accepting compensation for land clearance for the Hemaraj 1 Project in Nghe An.
(Baonghean.vn) - According to a report from the People's Committee of Nghi Loc district, to date, 1,102 out of 1,196 households have signed documents accepting compensation for land clearance for the WHA Hemaraj 1 Industrial Park Project, reaching 92.14% with a total area of 115.4/143.5 hectares to be acquired and compensated.
Specifically, in Nghi Long commune, 551 out of 567 households have signed the documents, covering an area of 52.4 hectares; in Nghi Thuan commune, 551 out of 629 households have signed the documents, covering an area of 58 hectares.

Currently, the Land Compensation and Resettlement Council has disbursed 60.44 billion VND to the people of Nghi Long and Nghi Thuan communes in the project area. Regarding the raw material supply area project for the Hemaraj Industrial Park, the Nghi Loc District People's Committee has approved the land compensation and resettlement dossiers and commenced land acquisition for the raw material supply area.
At a recent meeting to review and expedite investment projects, Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, stated that the project is currently facing difficulties regarding the environmental impact assessment report. The investor is submitting it to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment for appraisal and approval, and the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board is working closely with the investor to resolve the difficulties and obstacles during the appraisal process.
Regarding the environmental dossier for the landfill material source area, the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board has approved the environmental impact assessment report in Decision No. 147/QD-KKT dated October 20, 2017, and approved the environmental remediation and restoration plan in Decision No. 16/QD-KKT dated July 2, 2018.
According to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghi Loc district, the investor has only paid about 40 billion VND in compensation for land clearance to the people out of a total of 180 billion VND that needs to be paid in this phase.
