1,102/1,196 households signed documents accepting compensation for land acquisition and clearance of Hemaraj 1 Project - Nghe An

Of which, Nghi Long commune has 551/567 households signing the documents with an area of ​​52.4 hectares; in Nghi Thuan commune, 551/629 households signing the documents with an area of ​​58 hectares.

Currently, the Land Clearance Compensation Council (GPMB) has paid 60.44 billion VND to the people of Nghi Long and Nghi Thuan communes in the project area. For the project of the raw material area for filling the Hemaraj Industrial Park, the Nghi Loc District People's Committee has approved the GPMB compensation file and recovered the land of the raw material area.

At a recent meeting on reviewing and urging investment projects, Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that the project is still facing problems with the environmental impact assessment report. The investor is submitting it to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment for appraisal and approval, and the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone is closely coordinating with the investor to resolve difficulties and obstacles in the appraisal process...

Regarding the environmental profile for the land fill material area, the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board has approved the environmental impact assessment report in Decision No. 147/QD-KKT dated October 20, 2017 and approved the Environmental Remediation Plan in Decision No. 16/QD-KKT dated July 72, 2018.

According to the Chairman of Nghi Loc District People's Committee, the investor has only paid about 40 billion VND in compensation for site clearance to the people out of the total 180 billion VND that needs to be paid this time.
