Cua Lo is tapping into the Chinese tourist market.
(Baonghean.vn) - As a coastal tourism center of the country, Cua Lo town is constantly innovating and becoming increasingly attractive to international tourists, including Chinese tourists.

On average, Cua Lo welcomes 5,000-6,000 foreign tourists each year, mainly from Laos and Thailand, and is beginning to see some tourist groups from China.
Recognizing China as a potential tourist market, Cua Lo has implemented various solutions to maintain and further increase the number of international visitors, such as participating in promotional activities in four major cities in China, working with and inviting partner businesses and large corporations to conduct surveys, and building more accommodation facilities to increase the number of rooms for the 2018 summer tourist season.
Thanks to these efforts, some groups of tourists have initially visited for short stays and in small groups, notably the Angel Group's tourist group that visited Cua Lo earlier this year. In addition, several Chinese businesses are currently inquiring about opening tours to Cua Lo in the near future.
The influx of tourists from China will boost many related services such as dining, shopping, seaside restaurants, entertainment activities, massage, etc.

Mr. Vo Van Tho, Head of the Culture and Information Department of the town, said: "Whether it's a budget tour or a zero-cost tour, this is still a market that brings significant economic benefits to the locality, because Chinese tourists often travel in large groups. However, to develop this market, accommodation facilities, entertainment venues, and places selling characteristic tourism products... must be carefully planned and ensured to be of sufficient scale."
To proactively welcome this new tourist market, Cua Lo is actively implementing several measures, including: organizing roadshows to introduce tourism in Jiangsu Province and Kunming, China, in May or June; in addition to local tours, continuing to develop tours connecting with other provinces and cities. Furthermore, it is intensifying publicity and promotion efforts, continuing to participate in tourism promotion activities, and organizing Famtrip tours from China; paying attention to management and preparation regarding infrastructure, tourism services, and tour guides… to continue attracting Chinese tourists to Nghe An.
