Opening of the 2018 Competition for Base Commanders and Political Commissars
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 11, at the Provincial Military School, Nghe An Military Command opened the 2018 Competition for Commanders and Political Commissars of District, City, and Town Military Commands.

From April 11 to 13, 42 comrades who are commanders and political commissars of 21 Military Commands of districts, cities and towns had to take part in a test on general awareness of the Party's viewpoints and guidelines on local military and defense work; awareness of combat staff work, combat readiness, logistics, engineering, finance and practice in preparing resolutions to lead defensive combat missions; drafting determination for defensive combat; shooting K54 pistols; and taking a test on individual squad regulations without guns.
The contest aims to evaluate the qualifications and capacity of the Commanders and Political Commissars of the District, City and Town Military Commands in staff work and command and leadership in implementing local military and defense tasks, as a basis for determining the content of training to improve the quality of cadres in the following years.

This year's contest, the general awareness test was conducted on multiple-choice software transferred by Center 1 - Command 86 and Information Technology Department - General Staff of Military Region 4. The multiple-choice test content meets the requirements for mixed testing of multiple subjects at the same time, conducted on many different candidates in the same testing room.
Nghe An Provincial Military Command is the first unit of Military Region 4 to organize multiple-choice tests on computers. After the contest, this software will be widely deployed for contests of agencies and units throughout the Military Region to objectively, practically and transparently evaluate the results of the contests.
