Many major projects were commended by Nghe An Provincial Police.
(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An Police leaders have commended and rewarded police units and localities for discovering many major drug and social network fraud cases, contributing to ensuring security and order in the area.
On the morning of May 4, Nghe An Provincial Police organized an award ceremony for Project 318T, chaired by the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, for its outstanding achievements in the fight against and eradication of a transnational drug trafficking ring with large quantities of illegal drugs.
Previously, at around 10:45 a.m. on May 3, in Tay Son commune, Huong Son district, Ha Tinh, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department (PC47, Nghe An Police) coordinated with related units to catch Le Dang Thanh (born in 1970, temporarily residing in Hung Binh ward, Vinh city) red-handed while illegally buying and selling 12 heroin cakes.

The police also seized from Thanh a K59 gun (with one loaded bullet), a motorbike, and a mobile phone. Thanh bought the drugs from Laos and transported them through Cau Treo border gate (Ha Tinh) to Nghe An for sale.
Also on the morning of May 4, leaders of Nghe An Police, Nghi Loc District Party Committee and People's Committee organized an award ceremony for the collective leaders, officers and soldiers of Nghi Loc District Police for their achievements in solving 3 major cases in the past time.
Specifically, in March 2018, Nghi Loc District Police established Project 418L to investigate and arrest subjects using Facebook to commit fraud and property appropriation.
On April 17, in Da Nang City, the Special Task Force arrested Phan Anh Tuan and Ho Van Duc (both residing in Trieu Thuong Commune, Trieu Phong District, Quang Tri) while committing fraud in Hoa Khanh Bac Ward, Da Nang City.
Confiscated evidence includes 2 computers; 1 gold necklace, 1 gold ring, 1 wristwatch, 4 mobile phones, 70 million VND in cash.
The two subjects confessed to having successfully carried out many scams involving victims in 10 provinces and cities, including Nghe An, with a total amount of more than 1.5 billion VND. The police agency seized and proposed to freeze the subjects' fraudulent accounts worth nearly 200 million VND.

On April 22, Nghi Loc District Police coordinated with Le Loi Ward Police (Vinh City) to arrest 5 subjects who were illegally buying, selling, and storing drugs at Cam Lai Hotel, Vinh City.
The seized exhibits included 1.89 grams of crystal meth, 29 ecstasy pills; 783.5 grams of precursors for drug production; 1 set of ecstasy pill molds, 1 motor for grinding and mixing substances.
One day later, Nghi Loc District Police successfully broke up Project 418D, arresting a suspect in an inter-provincial drug trafficking ring. The police seized 1 heroin cake; 4,500 synthetic drug pills; and 3 kg of crystal meth.
Colonel Nguyen Manh Hung - Deputy Director of Nghe An Police; leaders of Nghi Loc district congratulated and commended the outstanding achievements of the police units and localities. At the same time, they requested the units to urgently complete the dossier, collect information and documents to continue the fight and expand the project.
