Many major cases have been commended by the Nghe An Provincial Police.
(Baonghean.vn) - The leaders of the Nghe An Provincial Police have commended and rewarded police officers from various units and localities for uncovering numerous major cases involving drugs and online fraud, contributing to ensuring security and order in the area.
On the morning of May 4th, the Nghe An Provincial Police held an awards ceremony for the 318T Special Task Force, led by the Drug Crime Investigation Department, for their outstanding achievements in combating and dismantling a large-scale transnational drug trafficking ring.
Earlier, at approximately 10:45 AM on May 3rd, in Tay Son commune, Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department (PC47, Nghe An Provincial Police) coordinated with relevant units to apprehend Le Dang Thanh (born in 1970, temporarily residing in Hung Binh ward, Vinh City) while he was illegally buying and selling 12 blocks of heroin.

The police also seized from Thanh a K59 pistol (with one bullet already in the chamber), a motorbike, and a mobile phone. The drugs were purchased by Thanh from Laos and transported through the Cau Treo border gate (Ha Tinh province) to Nghe An province for sale.
Also on the morning of May 4th, leaders of the Nghe An Provincial Police, the District Party Committee, and the People's Committee of Nghi Loc District held an awards ceremony to honor the leadership, officers, and soldiers of the Nghi Loc District Police for their achievements in solving three major cases recently.
Specifically, in March 2018, the Nghi Loc District Police established Special Case 418L to investigate and arrest individuals using the Facebook social network to commit fraud and embezzle property.
On April 17th, in Da Nang City, the special task force arrested Phan Anh Tuan and Ho Van Duc (both residing in Trieu Thuong commune, Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province) while they were committing fraud in Hoa Khanh Bac ward, Da Nang City.
The seized items included 2 computers; 1 gold necklace, 1 gold ring, 1 wristwatch, 4 mobile phones, and 70 million VND in cash.
The two suspects confessed to successfully carrying out numerous scams targeting victims in 10 provinces and cities, including Nghe An, totaling over 1.5 billion VND. The police seized and requested the freezing of nearly 200 million VND from the suspects' fraudulent accounts.

On April 22nd, the Nghi Loc District Police, in coordination with the Le Loi Ward Police (Vinh City), arrested five individuals for illegally buying, selling, and possessing narcotics at the Cam Lai Hotel in Vinh City.
The seized items included 1.89 grams of methamphetamine, 29 ecstasy pills; 783.5 grams of precursors for drug production; one set of molds for pressing ecstasy tablets, and one motor for grinding and mixing the substances.
One day later, the Nghi Loc District Police successfully cracked case 418D, arresting suspects in an inter-provincial drug trafficking ring. The police seized one block of heroin; 4,500 synthetic drug pills; and 3 kg of crystal methamphetamine.
Colonel Nguyen Manh Hung - Deputy Director of Nghe An Provincial Police; and leaders of Nghi Loc district congratulated and commended the outstanding achievements of the police units and localities. They also requested that the units promptly complete the dossiers and gather information and documents to continue the investigation and expand the case.
