Russia's new cabinet: 10 deputy prime ministers and 22 new ministers
(Baonghean.vn) - On May 18, Russian President Putin officially approved the list of personnel and the structure of the Government apparatus for the new term as proposed by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. Accordingly, the new Cabinet includes 10 Deputy Prime Ministers and 22 Ministers.

Four out of 10 Deputy Prime Ministers kept their positions. Among them, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov became First Deputy Prime Minister.
The list of Russian Deputy Prime Ministers also includes Mr. Anton Siluanov, 55 years old, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Russia; Yuri Borisov, 61 years old, in charge of the Defense Industry Bloc; Maxim Akimov, 48 years old, in charge of Transport and Communications; Oleg Trutnev, 62 years old, in charge of developing the Russian Far East region....
Thirteen out of 22 ministerial positions in the new Cabinet remain unchanged from the old government, including Minister of Economy Maxim Oreshkin, 35 years old; Minister of Energy Alexander Novak, 46 years old; Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, 49 years old; Minister of Sports Pavel Kolobkov, 48 years old; Minister of Transport Yevgeny Ditrikh, 45 years old; Minister of Education Olga Vasilieva, 58 years old; Minister of Internal Affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev, 57 years old...
Notably, former Russian Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko, 59, - who has been the focus of criticism in allegations of doping against Russian athletes, was appointed to the position of Deputy Prime Minister in charge of regional construction and development.
In this new term, Mr. Sergei Lavrov and Mr. Sergei Shoigu continue to be trusted, holding the positions of Foreign Minister and Minister of Defense of Russia, respectively. Having held the position of Minister for more than 20 years, Mr. Sergei Shogu, 62 years old, is still considered to have contributed many ideas to the modernization of the Russian military. Before holding the position of Minister of Defense since 2012, during the period of 1994 - 2012, Mr. Shoigu held the position of Minister of the Russian Federation for Defense, Emergency Response and Natural Disaster Relief.
Mr. Sergei Lavrov, 68 years old, was appointed Russian Foreign Minister since 2004. He is a talented Russian diplomat who always shows a tough stance, protects Russia's position in the international arena, and is respected internationally.
It can be seen that most of the key positions in the old Government will continue to serve, accompanying President Putin in this new term. Expressing his confidence in the Government apparatus, President Putin emphasized: "They are all famous people with rich experience and have performed well in the assigned tasks. This is proven through the effectiveness of management in various fields, helping the country overcome many challenges."
The first official meeting with Ministers will take place in Saint Petersburg on May 25-26.
