Winter melon tea to cool down on hot days
This is a very healthy drink, delicious and easy to make. Enjoying a cool glass of winter melon tea on a summer day is great.
Ingredient:
- 10 gr Rehmannia glutinosa (buy at Chinese medicine stores or dry goods stores)
- 1 kg old squash (if young, remove seeds)
- 5 pandan leaves
- Salt 1/3 teaspoon
- 4 liters of water
- Rock sugar 150 gr

Wash squash, cut into small pieces. Wash pandan leaves, tie neatly. |

Put rehmannia glutinosa, winter melon, salt in a pot, add water and cook until the squash is tender. After 2 hours, add pandan leaves, cook for another 5 minutes and turn off the heat. |

Wait for the water to cool, then filter it, add rock sugar and stir well. Then store in the refrigerator. When drinking, just add ice and enjoy. |
This is the traditional way of cooking. You can add sugar cane or monk fruit to cook together, it is also very delicious.
