Among the main threats are modern air defense systems and space vehicles.

"We recognize that decades of great airstrikes can be completed," - the coalition press service wrote.

The new strategy outlined the present and future conditions in which Allied air forces would operate.

According to the organization's experts, future challenges and threats will be transnational in nature and will likely have long-term consequences for peace, security and stability in the Euro-Atlantic region.

The document states that the alliance must be able to conduct operations against any enemy.

It was stressed that special units - naval and cyber - should work closely with the air force.
