Among the main threats are modern air defense systems and space vehicles.
"We recognize that decades of great air strikes can be completed," - the coalition press service wrote.
The new strategy outlined the present and future conditions under which Allied air forces would operate.
According to the organization's experts, future challenges and threats will be transnational in nature and will likely have long-term consequences for peace, security and stability in the Euro-Atlantic region.
The document states that the alliance must be capable of conducting operations against any enemy.
It was stressed that special units - naval and cyber - should work closely with the air force.
