Nam Dinh fans and Thien Truong Stadium are keywords that help to associate with the enthusiasm in cheering for football, but there are also many times when yellow shirt fans and this place make Vietnamese football confused.
In 2005, in the match between Nam Dinh and Dong Tam Long An, players from both teams clashed on the field, and referee Nguyen Quoc Hung bled after trying to stop players from both teams. However, more noteworthy was the incident where reporter Duy Bui (Sports 24h Newspaper) was brutally treated by stadium security, who prevented him from working while taking pictures of the incident.

In the 18th round of V.League 2018 at Thien Truong Stadium, after a fan took off his shirt to chase and beat the referee, two reporters working at Thien Truong Stadium were assaulted in the chaotic final minutes of the match, including Dai Nghia - reporter for Sports & Culture newspaper and Pham Trong Tung - photojournalist for Sport5 website.

WHAT PUNISHMENT WILL THIEN TRUONG STADIUM FACE FROM VFF'S LAW FRAMEWORK?
If the match organizers allow other incidents to occur in the stadium that cause panic and affect the health of others, they will be fined 20,000,000 VND.
a) Fine from 30,000,000 VND to 70,000,000 VND in the following cases:
- Repeated violations during the match.
- Continuous violations, consecutively in many matches.
b) Violators who have been disciplined many times but still re-offend will be punished by playing at home without spectators or moving to an intermediate stadium.
If the match organizers allow spectators to spill onto the track or onto the field before, during or after the match, depending on the severity of the violation, they will be warned and may be fined at least 10,000,000 VND.
In case of serious violations, the home team's subsequent matches may have to be played at home without spectators or at an intermediate stadium.
Warning, fine the match organizer from 15,000,000 VND to 55,000,000 VND and must bear all related costs if before, during and after the match:
a) Failure to ensure security and safety in the stadium or the area surrounding the stadium where the match takes place: Allowing objects (bottles, jars, bricks, sticks, helmets, fireworks, etc.) to be thrown from outside into the stadium, spectators attacking match officials, away teams, home teams or causing injuries to spectators, players, match officials, officers and employees on duty.
b) Allowing fans to throw objects onto the field, causing unsafe conditions for those on duty on the field or affecting the technical performance of the match. Depending on the seriousness of the incident, the home team's subsequent matches may have to be played at home without spectators or moved to a neutral field.
c) Other fan behaviors that seriously affect the professionalism of the match and the playing ability of the away team (according to the referee's assessment) or put pressure on the referee will result in the home team losing 0-3 to the away team (if they lose by more, the score will remain the same).
