US sends B-52 bombers to participate in exercises in Czech Republic

US B-52 bombers and German Eurofighter jets will participate in the international military exercise Ample Strike in the Czech Republic from September 3-14.


The Czech News Agency (CTK) reported on July 13 that US B-52 bombers and German Eurofighter fighter jets will participate in the international military exercise Ample Strike in the Czech Republic from September 3-14.

CTK quoted the spokeswoman of the Ample Strike military exercise, Ms. Zuzana Spackova, as saying that a total of 1,300 soldiers will participate in the exercise, including 350 foreign soldiers.

The aim of the exercise is to improve coordination between navigators, pilots and other units on the ground.

The exercises were held at military areas in Boletice, Libava, the 21st tactical air base in Caslav, the Pardubice airport and the 15th engineering battalion's headquarters in Bechyne.

A total of 18 countries have confirmed their participation, including the US, UK, Canada and Germany./.
