How to decentralize and delegate authority more clearly

On the morning of August 16, under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, the Government held a thematic meeting on law-making.
The Government will discuss the Draft Law on Public Investment (amended) and the Draft Law on amending and supplementing laws with provisions related to planning.
Speaking at the opening of the meeting, the Prime Minister said that the Law on Public Investment is a progress in management, but in practice, many problems and difficulties have arisen.
Pointing out the need to amend regulations on public investment and planning, the Prime Minister said that in order to decentralize and delegate authority more clearly, reform administrative procedures better, promote responsibility, and improve efficiency in investment and management.
Also at this meeting, the Government will listen to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development report on emergency housing support for households affected by landslides and flash floods.
In the face of storm No. 4 making landfall in our country, the Prime Minister said that he has asked Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong, Head of the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, to directly inspect. The Prime Minister asked localities to focus on storm prevention work to minimize damage caused by storm No. 4.
