Closing the "Time" tour spanning three regions of the country, diva My Linh continues to sing with all her passion, but she does not want to organize any new personal shows, spending time taking care of and being close to her children.

Diva My Linh "floats" on stage at the show "Time".

- You just completed a solo tour in three major cities. How did this tour change your life?

This is my last tour, and also my biggest cross-country tour ever. Everyone put their heart and soul into this event, preparing together for a long time. The band and I practiced together every day for nearly a month before the show, which was quite busy and stressful. After practice, I also exercised and practiced my voice, then went home to rest. During that time, I rarely accepted shows to ensure the best health.

- You shared that this is the last live show of your career. Why did you decide to stop doing live shows at the present time?

This tour is to celebrate the 20th anniversary of my band Anh Em and other colleagues working together, and is also a gift I want to send to my audience, who have spent our beautiful youth with us.

Performances with the quality that the crew expects require a lot of preparation and investment from all departments, so it will take a long time to have enough energy to recreate a tour like that with any artist. Moreover, I have been in the profession for 25 years, I am not too old but not young anymore. At the present time, I allow myself to slow down, spend more time with my family because my children are almost adults, about to leave their parents, I want to be with them more.

I still sing but there won't be any big tours like this anymore. I've namedMy Linh Tour 2018To beTimeNot because of the beautiful things that have passed, but because of the better things that are coming. With this tour, I hope the public will continue to support young singers, as they supported me many years ago, so that Vietnamese pop music will have many more brilliant shows like this.

- Your last show in Ho Chi Minh City left many beautiful emotions. Many journalists and audiences hope that you will continue to perform solo shows. Have you considered this offer?

With 4 shows across the country, every night I was moved by the love of the audience. I really felt it through the audience's eyes, the flashbulbs and the harmony. Those moments will never be forgotten. Once again, thank you to the audience. As for doing another tour, it will probably be difficult.

The female singer temporarily stopped performing shows to spend more time with her children.

- During the time preparing and performing this tour, what were some unforgettable moments or memories for you?

There are so many memories, each one special and unforgettable. I am still filled with emotions. I am happy because I did not expect to be warmly welcomed by the audience after so many years, and the crew gave me lovely gifts. However, I am also a little sad because the tour has officially ended.

There will be no more discussions and arguments about how to bring the best performances to the audience. There will be no more stressful rehearsals. There will be no more feeling the hustle and bustle behind the stage, where hundreds of people put all their efforts into preparing each performance in the most thoughtful way.

But there will always be applause, sing-alongs, spotlights, and most importantly, there will always be wonderful moments from the love the audience gave to My Linh, the Anh Em band and the entire crew during the 4 nights of performances from North to South.

- You do music, run Young Hit Young Beat Music Academy, and take care of your family. How do you manage so many things at once?

At different points in my life, I have certain priorities. For the past 20 years, I have not spent my time wisely. I have been rushing through life like a moth to a flame, which has been going on for a long period of my life and has really made me tired. I think it is time to sit back and look at everything and realize what is right for me, what I will choose to move forward.

Now, I have relatively completed the major tasks in life. I no longer have to take on too much responsibility for making money to pay for my children's school fees, paying bills, etc. All the pressure has been greatly reduced at present. I only have to worry about my youngest daughter, the rest of my children are all grown up and can take care of their own lives. That's why I want to spend more time for myself.

- In the last performance, you shared some emotional words with your husband Anh Quan before performing the song "To You". Are you often this romantic in public?

There is romance on stage, but it is rare in real life.

Quan and I have lived together for 21 years now. Every year, the family, husband, wife and children travel together. As for private dates, we do it every day.(laugh).

- You have participated in Dieu Con Mai many times, then had a hiatus. What is special about your return this year?

I have participatedWhat remainsmany years. This year I got to sing a song that I really like.Hanoi in autumnby musician Vu Thanh so I accepted.

At the concert Dieu con mai 2018, I will perform this song with the symphony orchestra and harmonize with students from the Young Hit Young Beat Music Academy. I proactively proposed this idea to the Organizing Committee. Hopefully, our performance and the program will receive much love from everyone.
