Singer My Linh: I don't use my time wisely.

- You've just completed a solo tour in three major cities. How has this tour changed your life?

This is my final tour, and also my largest-scale, nationwide tour to date. Everyone poured their hearts and souls into this event, preparing together for a very long time. My band and I rehearsed every day for almost a month before the show, which was quite busy and stressful. After rehearsals, I also exercised and practiced vocal techniques before going home to rest. During that time, I accepted fewer shows to ensure I was in the best health.

- You shared that this is the last live show of your career. Why did you decide to stop doing live shows at this point?

This tour is to celebrate the 20th anniversary of me, the Anh Em band, and our collaborators working together, and it's also a gift I want to send to my audience, those who have shared beautiful moments of our youth with us.

Performing shows that meet the team's expectations requires significant preparation and investment from all departments, so it will be a long time before any artist has enough energy to recreate such a tour. Furthermore, I've been in the industry for 25 years; I'm not that old, but I'm not young anymore either. At this point, I allow myself to slow down, dedicating more time to my family because my children are almost grown up and will soon be leaving their parents; I want to be with them more.

I'll still sing, but there won't be any more big tours like this. I've named it.My Linh Tour 2018To beTimeIt's not about the good times of the past, but about the better things to come. With this tour, I hope the public will continue to support young singers, just as they supported me many years ago, so that Vietnamese pop music will have many more brilliant performances like this.

- Your final performance in Ho Chi Minh City left many beautiful emotions. Many journalists and audience members hope you will continue to perform solo shows. Have you considered this offer?

With four nights of performances across the country, I was deeply moved every night by the affection of the audience. I truly felt it through the audience's eyes, the flashlights, and the moments of singing along. Those moments will never be forgotten. Thank you once again to the audience. As for doing another tour, that would probably be difficult.

- During the preparation and execution of this tour, what were some of the most unforgettable moments or memories for you?

There are so many memories, each one special and unforgettable. Even now, I'm still overwhelmed with emotion. I'm happy because I never expected such a warm reception from the audience after all these years, and I received such lovely gifts from the team. However, I also feel a little sad because the tour has officially come to an end.

There will be no more discussions and debates on how to bring the best performances to the audience. There will be no more intense rehearsals. There will no longer be the hustle and bustle behind the scenes, where hundreds of people poured their hearts and souls into meticulously preparing each performance.

But there will always be applause, singing along, spotlights shining, and most importantly, there will always be wonderful moments of love from the audience for My Linh, the Anh Em band, and the entire team throughout the four nights of performances from North to South.

- You're involved in music, run the Young Hit Young Beat Music Academy, and take care of your family all at the same time. How do you manage to juggle so many things?

At different points in my life, I've had certain priorities. For the past 20 years, I've spent my time rather unwisely. I've rushed through life like a moth to a flame, and that's been going on for a long time, and it's really exhausting. I think it's time to sit down, reflect on everything, and realize what's right for me, what I should choose to move forward with.

Now, I've accomplished most of the major tasks in my life. I no longer have the overwhelming responsibility of earning money to pay for my children's education, bills, and other expenses. The pressure has significantly decreased. I only have to worry about my youngest daughter; the rest of my children are grown up and can take care of themselves. Therefore, I want to dedicate more time to myself.

- On the final night of the show, you shared some emotional reflections with your husband, Anh Quân, before performing the song "Sending to You." Do you often act romantically like that in public?

Romance might be present on stage, but it's rare in real life.

My husband, Quân, and I have been living together for 21 years now. Every year, we go on family trips together. As for private dates, we do them every day.(laugh).

- You've participated in "What Remains" many times before, then there was a break. What's special about your return this year?

I used to participateWhat lastsFor many years. This year, in particular, I had the opportunity to sing a song that I really like.Hanoi in autumnIt was a request from musician Vu Thanh, so I accepted.

At the "Things That Remain" 2018 concert, I will perform this song with a symphony orchestra and sing along with my students from the Young Hit Young Beat Music Academy. I proactively suggested this idea to the organizers. I hope our performance and the program will receive much love from everyone.
