While shopping at the market, a thief broke the lock and stole my motorbike.
(Baonghean.vn) - While shopping at Van Market, Ms. Phuong parked her motorbike in front of the gate and locked it. About 10 minutes later, when she returned, she discovered her motorbike had "vanished without a trace."
The incident occurred at approximately 8:00 AM on September 4th in front of the north gate of Van Market, Quynh Van commune, Quynh Luu district. At that time, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong, born in 1977, residing in Dong Tam hamlet, Quynh Bang commune, Quynh Luu district, was traveling from her home to Van Market, about 2 kilometers away, to buy groceries.

Upon arriving at the main north gate of Van Market, instead of parking her motorbike in the designated parking area, Ms. Phuong parked it in front of the market gate and locked it. She then went inside to shop. About 10 minutes later, upon returning, Ms. Phuong discovered that her new Wave Alpha motorbike, purchased at the end of 2017 for 23 million VND, had been stolen by thieves who had broken the lock.
Reportedly, over the past year, there have been many motorbike thefts in front of Van Market. The perpetrators' modus operandi is to take advantage of people leaving their motorbikes unattended outside the market gate instead of parking them in designated areas, and then commit the thefts.

Following similar motorcycle thefts, authorities have posted warning signs indicating "area prone to motorcycle theft" and installed surveillance cameras right in front of the market entrance. However, some residents remain complacent and allow thieves to steal their motorcycles.
Immediately after Ms. Phuong reported the theft of her motorbike, the local police arrived at the scene to gather information and conduct an investigation.
